Jeremy Lees was born in Hong Kong whilst his Father served with the British Army. He was brought up in Asia living in a multitude of countries including Hong Kong, Brunei, Nepal and China and during this time was educated at a Private Boarding School in England.
After school he studied at the University of St Andrews in Scotland, graduating with an Honours Degree in Laser Physics and Optoelectronics.
Following on from his academic studies he was commissioned into the British Army as an Army Air Corps Officer and served as a Combat Helicopter Pilot for seven years, seeing active service in both Northern Ireland and Iraq.
On retiring from flying duties in the Army, Mr Lees taught both Science and Maths at Wrekin College, a Private School in England, and during this time completed his Post Graduate Certificate of Education qualification gaining the coveted ‘Qualified Teacher Status’. This qualification enables him to teach any where in the UK and in most countries around the world, including Thailand.
Mr Lees founded Bluewater International School in 2006 and now leads a motivated and professionally qualified team of teachers. His motivation for the School stems from the sacrifice his parents made to ensure that he had the best start in life in all fields of academics, sports and other extra-curricular activities, whilst they themselves continued to move around the world.
