Physical Education
Pupils have two hours of PE timetabled per week through which we develop the six areas of activity as set out in the National Curriculum – Dance; Games; Gymnastics; Athletics; Outdoor and Adventurous activities; Swimming. All children have a swimming lesson every week by a qualified swimming coach in the outdoor swimming pool on site.

At the ISS Primary School we aim to promote healthy, independent and responsible members of society. We encourage all our pupils to play a positive role in contributing to school life and the wider community through class & school councils, fundraising events, supporting nominated charities and involvement in community activities.
Our pupils are given opportunities in PSHE and SEAL (Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning) lessons and assemblies to develop confidence, self-motivation and an understanding of their rights and responsibilities within our diverse society.
Music & Art

Music is integral to the ISS curriculum in the Primary school. Children attend a minimum of one class music lesson a week with extra options for music available. Private music lessons are also available throughout the school day.
Art is a very popular part of the school week with a huge array of different disciplines within the Art, Design and Technology sphere of the curriculum on offer.
